Normandy Beaches & Bayeux Tapestry

This was my second visit to the beaches of Normandy and the Bayeux Tapestry. But I think I got more out of it than last time. For starters, the museum at the American cemetery above Omaha beach was open.

The mulberries are still there...

...and they are large.

See that white thing up on the steeple of the church in Sainte-Mère-Église?

It's a monument to paratroopers from the invasion.
